LGBTQ+ Victory Fund Endorses Margot Garant for Brookhaven Town Supervisor;

National organization endorses Garant because she will be a strong voice for equality when elected

Port Jefferson, New York – June 1, 2023 – LGBTQ+ Victory Fund – the only national organization dedicated to electing LGBTQ+ people to public office – has endorsed Margot Garant for Brookhaven Town Supervisor. The endorsement signals Victory Fund’s confidence that Garant is well-positioned to win the Brookhaven Town Supervisor race and will be a strong voice for equality once elected.

Most importantly, Garant will bring honesty, integrity and diversity to Town Hall ensuring all residents have equitable distribution and access to all available resources.

LGBTQ+ people remain severely underrepresented in government nationwide, holding just 0.2 percent of elected positions despite representing at least 7.2 percent of the U.S. population, according to LGBTQ+ Victory Institute.
